Audio clips by Winthrop Corey and cast members discussing the ballet

Dracula cast members teamed up with the American Red Cross to promote a blood drive on October 24.

Artistic director Erika Overturff and dancers appeared on KMTV’s Morning Blend on October 27.

The following was the original material posted for Dracula:

Choreographer Winthrop Corey‘s stunning Dracula is at once haunting, action-packed, beautiful, and romantic.

This visually rich ballet blends the thrills and suspense of the classic horror tale with fast-paced drama and elegant dancing. Corey’s fresh, inventive interpretation will fascinate you – revealing the vampire count not simply as a monster, but as a complex character of surprising depth and poignancy.

Dracula is lavish, with elaborate costumes and grand sets that transport the audience from a masquerade ball, to an eerie crypt, to a dark and intimidating Transylvanian castle.

Ballet Nebraska’s versatile company of professional dancers use ballet’s unique emotional power – its classical grace, athletic virtuosity, and dramatic flair – to involve you emotionally in a production you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Following the performance, join Ballet Nebraska for a VIP reception in the Weaver Lounge. Enjoy delicious desserts, coffee, and a chance to meet the cast! Reception tickets are available for $25.
