Dracula
Choreographer Winthrop Corey’s stunning Dracula is at once haunting, action-packed, beautiful, and romantic.
This visually rich ballet has excellent appeal, blending the thrills and suspense of the classic horror tale with fast-paced drama and elegant dancing. Corey’s fresh, inventive interpretation will fascinate your audience – revealing the vampire count not simply as a monster, but as a complex character of surprising depth and poignancy.
Dracula is visually lavish, with elaborate costumes and grand sets that transport us from a Venetian ballroom, to an eerie crypt, to a dark and intimidating Transylvanian castle.
Ballet Nebraska’s versatile company of professional dancers use ballet’s unique emotional power – its classical grace, athletic virtuosity, and dramatic flair – to involve your viewers emotionally in a production they’ll remember for a lifetime.
Suggestions: The fame of the story and the popularity of the vampire theme make Dracula ideal for exciting community-involvement opportunities. How about a performance-night costume contest, or teaming with your area Red Cross chapter for a blood drive?
