Always fresh, lively, and thoroughly entertaining, Ballet Nebraska’s The Nutcracker returns with the visual splendor and charming story that make it a family favorite. Set to one of composer Piotr Tchaikovsky’s most famous works, it transports audiences to the enchanting Land of Snow and the opulent Kingdom of Sweets, featuring a breathtaking new Waltz of the Flowers scene. The Nutcracker includes a cast of nearly 150 professional and community dancers and features lavish sets and more than 240 beautiful costumes.

Momentum, Ballet Nebraska’s award-winning “mixed-repertory” program, showcases the artistic range and choreographic variety of ballet as a captivating art form. Heading this season’s program will be the premiere of Erika Overturff’s high-spirited new ballet Go West! Presented in partnership with Joslyn Art Museum, the ballet celebrates Joslyn’s featured exhibition and is inspired by the spirit and stories of the American West. Hold on to your hat – there are cowboys, tumbleweeds, and yodels in store!
